our labor story

Our Dr and us decided it would be best to induce at 39 weeks. We turned 39weeks on Sunday November 8 and Rayla Sue was born November 9.
We went into the hospital bright and early at 6am they hooked all the monitors up on me and then my Dr came in and broke my water and then it all started. We put a movie on hoping it would distract me from the contractions and well that didn't work. My goal was to make it as far as i could handle with out an epidural. Wes was amazing he would watch my contractions and tell me when they had reached their high point and when they were coming back down, i know that this may sound like it makes no sense considering i could feel them and would probably know that, but it did really help. I made it half way and then decided to have an epidural, after that I just slept and wes watched another movie. By 6 it was time. The nurse came in and got everything set up and had me do two practice pushes and then she brought the Dr in he told me to push and that was it one push later Rayla sue was here! No ripping or stitching, I was very lucky to have such a great labor especially when I could hear women in surrounding rooms not sounding so lucky. Rayla weighed 7lb and 13ounces and 19.5 inches long and born at 6:23pm. I can't even describe how amazed we were by the entire experience she is more then we could ask for, we love her so much and are so blessed that she is a part of our family.

Grandma flew in the next day

we decided it was a good time to take a few maternity photos now that we are 38 weeks pregnant. We are just playing the waiting game now until she decides when she wants to great us. We took the pictures our self so don't be to critical ;)

Baby Bump pictures 35 weeks

I love the feeling of our little girl kicking and wiggling inside me Im going to miss it, but Im so excited to hold her and rock her. I don't want to forget anything about this experience or how my stomach and body looks. Being pregnant is such a joyful experience and I feel so blessed to be able to experience it. We already love our little girl so much and I know that, that love will grow and exceed all other love we have ever felt. 35 weeks and counting

Baby Shower! and More..

As many of you know we decided to have our baby shower in Texas not only because Family is there but also Hayden and Chelsie had the opportunity to get sealed in the Huston temple the same weekend. we were so blessed to be able to be there with them during this special time. We love them very much and are so happy for them.

The morning before the sealing the Men (over sized boys) decided to kayak in the lake next to mom and dads place. They had a lot of fun but it may have been more fun watching them attempt to stay together and not tip each other over.

The next day was the Baby shower! we are so grateful to everyone who made it and missed those who didn't but know you were thinking of us. We had such a great time. I am so thankful for My mom and Sister Steph who put everything together. I know it wasn't easy due to the fact that I may have been a little picky, but I love how it turned out.

That is a little tiara on my head that says "mother to be"

Thank you everyone who gave us and Rayla sue gifts.

We are somewhere under these hats

And for you have been asking I am just a few days shy of 30 weeks
